Our 14 Day Vacation was a planned round trip to Oregon and back Memory

Image
Well this year I planned for 3 months of where to go on my Vacation. What I really wanted to do, was to take a trip to places I've never really been to and probably never get a chance to go again. The thought I had in my mind was the only place I have never been to, in All of California was: The North East Section.  So I looked on-line and saw that there really is not a thing in that section of California that nobody would really be interested in going to see anyway! Then I went to Triple A and got some Road Maps and took a closer look at the State. I came up with Mount Lassen and Lava Beds National Park.  I saw the area was pretty much barren and I wanted to do camping along the way and I remember back from about 10 to 15 years ago, I wanted to go see the Oregon Caves. But at the time I first wanted to do this, it would have been a 50 mile Detour on a gravel road that dead ends at the caves. There was the chance of breaking down and being stuck out in the middle of no where....

War in Iraq,..What I will Always remember about it.  I have keppt this Blog mainly for myself to reflect on and any friends or family who may not have heard the complete story to read. PFC David Tavis English was a victim of a Suicide Semi-Truck Blast at a power plant in Bagdad, Iraq on Sept. 14th, 2006    PFC David Tavis English was a victim of a Suicide Semi-Truck Blast at a power plant in Bagdad, Iraq on Sept. 14th, 2006 CNN reported 2 dead, 25 injured, my son was 1 of the injured. However as of today, I now know there are 3 dead, 1 died on the plane to Germany, the same plane my son was on. These 4-5 e-mails are in Diary form 1 each day sent to my family and friends through out the past week. I am home in Santa Cruz, CA. now and Tavis will be in the hospital until Christmas Eve. The Army said they will fly me back to Washington DC to bring him home to San Jose if he is still unable to make it on his own then. Dear Everyone,I got the call n...

Let's Talk About Belly Dancing Today!

Image
This is where I'm coming From: My sister Rossah, (whom I've known a very long time now) had sent me an e-mail a while back about her winning the Top Slot for Belly Dancer of the Year "2006" for Zagareet Magazine. (Boy I hope I spelled that one right? It's the Number 1 Magazine in the Nation if you didn't already know this and lived under a rock or something). But I was unable to acknowledge her when she first sent me the news, because of the news of Tavis happened the same day. Now when I was growing up in my teenage years, having a sister who was a Belly Dance Instructor was a very HOT deal. She got me into being like her Photographer and I got to go everywhere. Like for example: she once got a gig in Reno and we drove up to the "Horseshoe Casino" and I was under the age of 21. But hey, I had FAKE i.d. that actually worked at the time. And so here I was in the club shooting pictures and enjoying the fact I could get Free drinks and be in a pla...

Old Russian River Memories

Old Russian River Memories  Before I planned out my vacation this year, I had a fond memory of when I was little, maybe 6 years old going to Russian River and thought I'd like to go there while driving on my vacation.  So I wrote my sister Rossah about where exactly did we used to go on the Russian River and got my brother Drew involved in some answers to my past memories. My brother Joel threw in his 2 cents last. Here are the Exchanges of e-mails. . .  Rossah wrote:  I am really wrackingmy grey cells trying to help you. Something tells me its off Bohemian Highway on River Blvd. The resort was on the other side of theRiver from the Main street that ran through town. What I am trying to say is that if you went down to the "Beach", the cottages were on the opposite side, you would be looking across at them but still not be able to see them from the beach. It could have been Villa Rio, or Highland Dell Resort.  These sound familiar, but when I look at the ...
